Preamble

Studio Miho Maeda Architecture places great importance on the protection of your personal data, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable data protection law.

Through the contact form, this site no longer simply forwards a message: it records your enquiry so that it can be followed up. This page sets out exactly what that involves.

Data controller

Miho Maeda, HMONP architect, trading as Studio Miho Maeda Architecture, SIREN 802405902, is the controller of your data.

Data collected

The contact form collects:

  • your status, individual or professional;
  • your name and email address, which are required;
  • where applicable your postal code and phone number;
  • the project type and type of work you tick;
  • your estimated budget, your timeline and the property status;
  • your message;
  • the language you wrote from;
  • the address of the page that brought you to the site, when known;
  • your IP address, truncated to its network before being stored with your enquiry, which allows abuse to be spotted without identifying you. A fingerprint of the full address, which cannot be read back, acts as a counter for the current hour to limit automated submissions, and is then deleted two hours after its last use, on the next request the contact form receives.

Required fields are marked with an asterisk. Everything else is optional: you alone decide what you share.

Purpose

This data is used to answer your enquiry, to prepare a possible project with you, and to contact you about it, including follow-up messages spread over time for as long as your project remains current. It is never sold, transferred, or used for anything else.

It is this prospecting activity that justifies the retention period set out below. You can end it at any time by withdrawing your consent, without having to give a reason.

Processing is based on your consent, given by ticking the box placed before the form’s submit button. Without that box ticked, the form is not processed.

Retention period

Your data is kept for three years, that is 1095 days, from our last exchange, not from your first message. Each new exchange restarts that period. At the end of it, the data is deleted.

This period follows the recommendation of the CNIL, the French data protection authority, for commercial prospecting, and matches the real pace of an architectural project, where years often separate a first intention from a first sketch.

Hosting and processors

Your data is hosted in France by OVH SAS, 2 rue Kellermann, 59100 Roubaix.

Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, 106 boulevard Haussmann, 75008 Paris) acts as a processor, in two distinct capacities:

  • it holds your contact record, carrying your status, name, email address, phone number, postal code, project and work type, budget, language and the date of your enquiry. Your message, your timeline and the property status are not part of that record;
  • it delivers the email notifying the studio of your enquiry. That email does contain everything you wrote, your message included, along with your timeline and the property status.

In other words: your message passes through Brevo, even though it is not stored in your contact record.

OVH and Brevo host your data in France. The studio puts in place no transfer outside the European Union. Both providers publish, in their own policies, the list of their sub-processors and the safeguards that apply to them.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to and port your data, as well as the right to withdraw your consent at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, write to architecture@mihomaeda.com. Your request is handled within one month. A request for erasure removes your file from our database and your contact record from Brevo.

The notification email already received by the studio cannot be recalled, any more than a message you had sent us directly. It lives in the studio’s mailbox and follows the fate of your correspondence: it is deleted when you ask for it, at the same time as your file.
